| The initial theoretical foundation of Chinese landscape painting was created on the basis of the philosophies of Six Dynasties and was followed by its establishment during the Tang Dynasty. In the Song Dynasty, the focus of the theories on landscape painting was removed to the area of literati painting(文人画 Wenrenhua).
